Today I understood for real why the "cardio abs" workout was so short and """"""""easy"""""""" : its because you only do it after a full workout. This makes todays workout almost 1hour long. But its ok. As weird as this seems, the "pure cardio" workout is the easiest for me to go through?? And today, for the second time in a row, i didnt take more than 5sec breaks inside exercises.

The warm-up is just a breeze now. I never really used to stop at the beginning anyway but now I just go right on through without evening breaking a sweat to be honest.

You see, Day 13 on the Insanity workout schedule heralds the first official combining of two workouts in one day. To add a cardio-abdominal workout after that is, quite frankly, insane. I stomped around in such a sulk that the Cat vacated the room for most of the afternoon. Pure Cardio is still like death to me. Fifteen 1 minute drills, back to back.

The following week we start the phase 2 workouts which are apparently longer and harder! The last workout in the Insanity month 1 workout series is Pure Cardio which also has an additional 16 minute ab workout at the end called Cardio Abs. Before I get into the workout, I wanted to update you on my progress through the program. The original plan was to skip only the Saturday workout and complete all 5 mid-week workouts. I did this the first week but when I discovered that the Cardio Recovery workout was rather tame and really not that helpful in my opinion , I started skipping it. That left me with 4 workouts a week. Thank goodness next week is recovery.
