They have always been delicious and fresh everytime I have purchased them at Publix. Even though I highly recommend their Sweet Kale Salad, they really need to increase the amount of dressing included or start selling the dressing seperately. I've really liked these salads over the last few months. However, today, as I ate my lunch salad tropical lime I found a large piece of plastic in my salad. It was inside of the greens not in the dressing or any small packet components mixed in.

Ottawa, December 14, - The food recall warning issued on December 4, has been updated to include additional product information. Industry is recalling Eat Smart brand Salad Shake Ups single serve from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Consumers should not consume the recalled products described below.

The sweet kale variety of the salad tested positive for listeria, but as a "precautionary measure," the company said it was recalling all products produced on the same day on the same production line as the sample that tested positive. Listeriosis can cause fever, muscle aches, headaches, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, convulsions, diarrhea and gastrointestinal symptoms.
